Yesterday we started our orientation with EMC by spending time talking with the Ecos - a music group made up of students from the RGBI Bible Institute who are traveling through parts of Canada on tour. We enjoyed talking with them and seeing them again! They also shared from their experiences in Mexico (3 of them are from there) and told us things about the culture that would be good for us to know. It was good to hear from their point of view. Then we also heard from Cathy Thiessen, who had been a missionary in Mexico for 34 years...she also shared about culture and experiences she had there.
We look forward to this time of orientation. We have 3 more mornings this week. Tommorow I'm going to have to bring Logan along, my mom is working so she isn't able to babysit...so we're going to bring along the playpen and hope Logan sleeps through most of the morning. Carter's going to friends place in Steinbach, but the other days they'll be staying home with grandma.
Carter got a bike today! The pedals are a little too far away for him but we'll see if he can figure it out. He just needs to learn to sit at the edge of the seat rather than at the back...I think that would solve it anyways.
