Today

This morning we said good-bye to our really good friends, David, Fanny, and Leo. We've known them almost since we moved here, so about 1 1/2 years and their son Leo and Carter and glued at the hips. They are moving to Boston! He got a new job there. They all left today, David to Boston, and Fanny and Leo to Mexico City to spend some time with her family for Christmas. Fanny and Leo will be back in January for school for a bit, until David has a house and school for them there...but we hate saying good-bye to them! They have studied the Bible with us once a week now for 8 months and were baptized in September...and we will miss those times with them a lot. It is sad to see them go, but what a blessing it's been to see their hearts transform as they've come to know God and they have been a great encouragement to us and helped with making Guadalajara home for us.

We love our church group. A small number we may be right now but we keep on believing and seeing how God is bringing people to Himself. There are many people we would love to see make a decision for Him but we continue to try to be obedient and pray. This morning was a blessing for us as we celebrated Christmas and had a meal together.

This afternoon, we made peanut butter balls! They always seem like a chore to me {time consuming, anyways} but it really doesn't take as long as my head thinks it does, and they turned out really good. Dallas is happy as that is his favorite Christmas treat :-) and he did help.

Then...3 big Coke trucks and a Santa and a polar bear and a penguin and a reindeer came into our neighbourhood and all the neighbours were out to take pictures and hang out at the park. Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Our boys refused to take pictures with Santa, which is fine by me, but they ended up taking a pic with the polar bear. And Logan and Brady were fascinated by the big penguin.

But the coke trucks did not even hand out cokes!! So our friends Juan and Ana showed up just now and brought me one.
