Also I'm thinking of doing a question/answer post about Guadalajara...any questions anyone has about our move, what we're doing there, the boy's life there, what the trees look like, :-) but I'll save that for once we actually live there and I have some first hand knowledge. Would be a little more credible, no?
This weekend before the move is jam packed, we just came home from our last day of VBS...we had over 40 kids the last couple of days and it was nutso but went really well. I am tired though! Letty did a good job of sharing about salvation today and how the kids can be saved. We pray that the kids will have learned something more about God through this week! Most of them are from Catholic homes so it's hard for them to distinguish at this age what the difference is between Catholosism and following Jesus.
anyway we spent a lot of today before VBS getting things ready to move. Jorge, a friend from the OrranteƱo church, came to pick up our kitchen cupboards to take them to his corner store to sell {many houses here do not come with cupboards, you have to supply your own}. so once we got rid of those we could clean the kitchen and use it to store boxes etc that we had packed upstairs...so we can clean upstairs.
And we did some shrink wrapping :-) we're shrink wrapping a bunch of stuff so it doesn't get banged up on the ride down to Guadalajara...and to keep drawers in dressers, that kind of thing. Especially since the drawers are packed full of things...
Tomorrow we are meeting some people for lunch one last time....then for supper we are going to another friends for a b'day party...then on Sunday we are going to church and seeing our friends there one last time...
Monday we hope to be basically done packing and shrink wrapping so we can just clean the house that day and then in the evening we may be out with some other friends. busy busy but all people we really want to spend our last weekend with.
Tuesday in the morning the moving truck is coming to load up, they have 1 driver that helps load, so some friends are coming to help load. Then hopefully by noon we can hit the road to begin our trip south. Will stop for night and then continue on the next day and get there early evening we expect.
oh since I did Brady's 11 mth post yesterday, he learned to wave "bye". He was being babysat this afternoon during VBS again and he starting doing it there. So I didn't get to see it :-( ah well...
