it's hockey season around here

Ever since the other day when Carter watched a bit of a hockey game with Dallas - the Winnipeg Jets - he and the other boys have been fired up about playing hockey in our backyard. They do the announcing, the whistle blowing, the ball dropping...you name it.

And all 3 of them really get into it. They don't much like the losing aspect but we convinced them it wasn't necessary to keep score so that's helped with that issue :-)

We are really enjoying our backyard lately...the grass Dallas planted has come in really awesome-ly and it's nice for me to sit and do some work on the patio while the boys play out there.

Even though our yard is really tiny it's nice to have a least a little space. And the park is only a block's walk away, with a basketball court, and the boys have been riding bike and practicing roller blading there.

2 more weeks of school break to go!
